Specialty Care Initiative
The Consortium has received a planning grant from The California Healthcare
Foundation. The project will involve data collection and the creation of a
business plan to address the specialty care needs of Merced County. If the
business plan is approved, there is an opportunity to receive two years of funding
to implement the plan.
Children's Health Initiative
Consortium members have been strong supporters and advocates for the
Children's Health Initiative since its inception. This year, we are pleased to
announce that we received funding for direct premium support for 24 children,
through a Community Grant from Catholic Healthcare West.
Healthcare Reform and Capacity Building
We are pleased to announce that we have received funding from The California
Endowment to support us as we analyze and influence change in health care
policy and systems change in Merced County. We will accomplish our goals by
working with political leaders, advocacy groups and the public to further our
mission, vision and goals.
